Midyero Derick is a dedicated, visionary educator and mentor who has profoundly impacted the lives of countless youth with his passion for innovation, education, and youth development. His commitment to fostering growth and excellence has established him as a respected figure within the educational community. Born on December 23, 1997, in Mbale City, Uganda, Derick’s love for learning and desire to make a meaningful difference led him to pursue a degree in Arts with Education at Kyambogo University. After completing his studies, he embarked on a teaching career that has now spanned over five years, during which he has consistently demonstrated excellence, creativity, and a student-centered approach.

With expertise in history, the ACE curriculum, and educational management, Derick has developed innovative curricula, programs, and projects aimed at enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. His notable achievements include:

Teen Star Holiday Program Initiative– An impactful program that helps youth navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood. Leadership Structure Development – Implementing a student leadership framework at Shekinah Glory Christian International School to promote responsibility and personal growth. Shekinah Woodball Team Founder – Established the school’s woodball team, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle. Beyond the classroom, Derick has been a source of guidance and encouragement for many students. Through partnerships with local organizations and community groups, he has facilitated opportunities for students to engage in mission outreaches and charity work, broadening their perspectives and fostering a sense of social responsibility. As a passionate sports enthusiast, Derick has coached the Shekinah Glory Christian International School woodball team, achieving remarkable success at both local and international levels.
